The Feathered Fox Relocates to Liberty State Park; More Dining News

The Feathered Fox, Jersey City

Open now in Liberty State Park, inside beautiful waterfront Maritime Parc, The Feathered Fox is a modern steakhouse and seafood restaurant, as well as an event space for weddings, corporate events and private parties. Executive chef Chris Siversen will helm the restaurant, which was originally located in Livingston. Boasting gorgeous views, the modern space is designed for both elegant dinners and casual dock-and-dine afternoons on the terrace; guests can tie up their boat and grab a spritz with oysters or crab claws on ice. Inside, a glass wine cellar dazzles the dining room. The menu boasts a raw bar, craft cocktails, an extensive wine list, and a unique sushi program with fresh fish flown in from Japan. Other dishes include lobster fettuccine carbonara, prime New York strip and duck confit mac & cheese.

Los Bandoleros Tacos, East Brunswick

This new spot blends Mexican food with barbecue, offering dishes such as Mexican-style wings, empanadas, elote (fire-roasted street corn), carne asada, brisket, and street corn/shrimp tacos.

Poke the Bear, Norwood

This fast-casual Korean poke spot serves poke bowls, rice bowls and soup, as well as desserts such as mochi ice cream and Korean rice cakes. It also has a selection of coffees, smoothies and kombucha.

OC Lobster Pot, Ocean City

Located on the boardwalk in Ocean City, this eatery serves lobster rolls, sushi, seafood boils and more. It started as a family-run shack steps from the boardwalk, and now bills itself as the biggest seafood restaurant in Ocean City.

Closings

Bernadette, Scotch Plains

This French-Mediterranean restaurant, which New Jersey Monthly reviewed in January, recently closed. Melody DeGaetano had opened it in February 2024, after moving to New Jersey from New York City.

The Stewed Cow, Hoboken

The Stewed Cow’s owners announced via Instagram that its last day in business was June 1. The restaurant, which had been open for more than a decade, was known for its mechanical bull in addition to its brunch offerings. A new restaurant will take over its location in late 2025, according to Hoboken Girl, headed by Food Network chef Cliff Crooks and a team that also runs local favorites Johnny Pepperoni and City Bistro.

Plus: Amma’s South Indian Cuisine comes to Mt. Laurel, while Laku Sushi in Morristown is closing.

As long as there are blue crabs in Barnegat Bay, there will be crab sauce on my table.
