Millburn Deli’s Morristown Outpost Reopens in New Location

Millburn Deli, Morristown

Millburn Deli’s Morristown outpost temporarily closed its Morris Street shop last month in preparation for a move to South Street.

As of March 3, the new South Street location is officially open for business, now with expanded seating and a few additional parking spots to accommodate lunch crowds.

Dante’s, Clifton

The newly opened Dante’s in Clifton serves classic Italian dishes with modern American touches. Starters, mains, desserts and alcoholic beverage selections feature seasonal, fresh ingredients and plenty of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-sensitive options.

LeGrand Coffee House, Middletown

Former Rutgers football player Eric LeGrand, who sustained a paralyzing spinal cord injury in 2010, opened LeGrand Coffee House in Woodbridge in 2022, where customers can get a “Daily Cup of Believing.”

LeGrand has announced that a Middletown location is slated to open this spring. In a post on social media, he credited his staff at the Woodbridge location for making the expansion possible.

Thyme Kitchen & Catering, Merchantville

This South Jersey spot reopened on March 3 after a three-week closure for repairs and renovations. Since opening in spring 2024 alongside Hallowed Grounds Coffee Co., Thyme Kitchen has become an award-winning Gloucester County bruncheonette and catering service.

HEYTEA, Paramus

This global tea chain opened a location this week at Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus. HEYTEA blends traditional teas with add-ins like fresh fruit and cheese foam. Menu offerings will be introduced through interactive experiences during the first few weeks of operation. Rotating interactive giveaways include check-in prizes, creative activities, free drinks and limited-edition merchandise.

Closings:

Frankie, Jersey City

After a decade of operation, Frankie has announced it will close its doors on March 15. The Australian-inspired restaurant and bar with natural wines was one of NJM‘s favorites in Jersey City. Its sister spots in Manhattan, Moonflower and Binx, will remain open.

Vitale’s Trattoria and Italian Deli, Parsippany

Founded in 1983 as a small Italian deli, Vitale’s grew into a local favorite serving hot and cold sandwiches, pasta dishes and pizza—both for casual takeout and more upscale, BYOB dine-in meals.

Stella Marina, Asbury Park 

This boardwalk staple for Italian dining—one of NJM‘s favorites in Asbury Park—closed this week. In a statement posted to social media, the restaurant expressed gratitude to its “incredible staff, loyal customers, friends, and community supporters who made Stella such a special destination on the beach.”

The Shop!, Phillipsburg

Known for its oversized ‘Phat Subz’ and creative house-made empanadas, the casual eatery with a loyal following is set to close. Its last day will be April 1.

This fine French-style restaurant in Lambertville, known for its à la carte small plates, closed on February 21. In a statement on its website, the restaurant, which was co-owned by chef Brian Held, thanked patrons who supported Held “at Sisao and all the previous venues through the years.”

Dining news:

Tito’s Burritos has delayed its previously announced March 1 closure of all remaining Jersey locations until March 8. Those locations are in Summit, Ridgewood and South Orange.

New Jersey’s largest resort, Crystal Springs in Hamburg, announced the return of Swiss-born Florian Wehrli as the resort’s executive chef, a position previously held by Aishling Stevens. Over a career spanning fine dining, hospitality and large-scale culinary operations, Wehrli has held major leadership roles from Las Vegas to New York City, most recently overseeing dining and events at Manhattan’s Metropolitan Opera. Guests can experience Wehrli’s culinary direction at the resort’s multiple restaurants. Reservations can be made by phone.

Shore Good Eats in Neptune City announced on social media that it is moving to Berkeley Township. While the current location is set to close this summer, the new location is scheduled to open this spring. Like the original, the Berkley Township location will serve breakfast and lunch, with the addition of BYOB dinner.

Ocean City Coffee Company announced that its co-owner, Calvin Corvaia, has passed away. In a statement on social media, the staff wrote that Corvaia “cared deeply about this community and the people in it, and that care was felt in every conversation, every cup served, and every connection made.”
