Broadway Launches Inaugural New Jersey Night With Deals on Shows, Dining and Transit

Start spreadin’ the news!

On Wednesday, October 22, the first-ever New Jersey Night on Broadway comes to New York City, featuring discounts on select Broadway shows and other perks.

There are 21 participating Broadway shows, including Aladdin, Chicago, Harry Potter & the Cursed Child, Moulin Rogue!, Hell’s Kitchen and & Juliet. Newark native Taye Diggs is currently starring in Moulin Rouge! as the Duke of Monroth. Hamilton native Gianna Harris is playing Juliet in & Juliet; previously, she served as the understudy in Hell’s Kitchen for Tony-winning actress Maleah Joi Moon, who grew up in Franklin Township.

After purchasing one show ticket, customers can get a second one for just $17.87—a nod to the year New Jersey became the third state to ratify the U.S. Constitution. Customers should use the code NJNIGHT25 if prompted.

Additional deals include discounts on NJ Transit transportation and select restaurants in Manhattan and Secaucus. For NJ Transit rides, customers can use the code NJNIGHT for four one-way tickets for the price of two. The code is valid through Thursday, October 23, and the tickets will be valid for travel between 1 pm on Wednesday, October 22, and 2 am on Friday, October 24. This offer can only be accessed through NJ Transit’s mobile app.

Several Broadway productions not included in this New Jersey promotion feature stars with Jersey roots. Union City native Bobby Cannavale is currently starring in Art alongside Neil Patrick Harris and James Corden; Livingston’s Brandon Uranowitz is starring in Ragtime. Former Montclair resident Alex Winter is co-leading Waiting for Godot on Broadway with his Bill & Ted co-star Keanu Reeves. And Tenafly’s Lea Michele will lead an upcoming production of Chess.

Billed as a modern town hall, Thinkable kicks off this October in Lackawanna Station, featuring diverse voices like Ta-Nehisi Coates, Cornel West and Richard Dawkins.

In her new memoir, Still Bobbi, the makeup mogul shares a lifetime of intimate stories and hard-won wisdom.
