Taopi garage lost in Tuesday evening fire – Austin Daily Herald

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a garage fire early Tuesday evening in Taopi.

According to the Mower County Sheriff’s Office, the fire was reported at around 5:23 p.m. Tuesday and that the garage was fully engulfed. When deputies arrived heavy black smoke was visible as well as flames shortly after.

The Adams Fire Department was dispatched to extinguish the fire.

There is no cause of the fire and the loss is estimated at $30,000. There were no injuries.
