The New York Jets reportedly top the wish list for Davante Adams should the Las Vegas Raiders look to trade their star wide receiver, and a reunion with quarterback Aaron Rodgers tops the odds with many oddsmakers.
The Jets are the odds-on favorite to land Adams at -150 at SportsBetting.ag, where the market opened with New York at +100 on Wednesday morning. That quickly shifted with ESPN reporting that Adams prefers the Big Apple or the Big Easy, where another potential reunion awaits with former Raiders quarterback Derek Carr.
Following the report, the New Orleans Saints’ odds of trading for Adams shifted from +700 to +300, tying for the second shortest along with the Washington Commanders. While adding Adams to the league’s sixth-ranked offense run by dynamic rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels may be enticing, the Commanders could also choose to address their 27th-ranked defense if they dabble in the trade market.
Other significant movement in the hours after the Adams market opened included the Dallas Cowboys, who were initially offered at +6600. However, the Cowboys would make a lot of sense to many analysts, who see adding Adams as a quick way for owner/general manager Jerry Jones to add firepower to an offense that lacks elite playmakers outside of CeeDee Lamb.
Going the other direction were the Kansas City Chiefs, who opened at +500. However, they reportedly aren’t currently considering a trade for Adams while evaluating the severity of the knee injury suffered by top wideout Rashee Rice on Sunday.
