Russia-Ukraine war latest updates: Missile strike hits Kyiv
KYIV, Ukraine — The sounds of explosions shook Kyiv residents awake on Saturday, and Ukrainian officials reported a missile attack in the capital. The deputy head of Ukraine’s presidential office said it was an “attack on critical infrastructure facilities,” and the regional administration reported a fire at an infrastructure site.
In the bloody battle in the east, Russia and Ukraine disputed control of the salt mining town of Soledar. The Kremlin claimed to have seized the town even as Ukraine’s 46th Air Assault Brigade said fighters were surrounded but holding on.
