Arriving via Dancing Astronaut‘s 2022 Label of the Year, Massano‘s Shut Down EP on Afterlife has garnered praise as some of the most unique, energy-filled songs in the world of melodic techno. Bordering along the genre lines of dark progressive house, “Shut Down” has made the waves across social media beginning in early 2023. A highlight in many Tale of Us sets, “Shut Down” has graced the stages at Coachella, Tomorrowland, and Afterlife shows worldwide.
The EP’s allure doesn’t end there. “Cybernova”—the B-side to “Shut Down”—reveals Massano’s adeptness in melding softer melodies with his signature assertive basslines.
