Seven year old Joan left her home on April 19th 1973 to deliver the last of her Girl Scout Cookies to neighbors. Unfortunately after hours Joan never returned and she was reported missing. The discovery of her remains came days later along with a confession that shocked the entire community of Hillsdale PA. Despite the tragic end to Joan’s life, her legacy lives on and legislation stemming from her death has forever changed the lives of others.
