Millions of anxious borrowers are waiting to hear whether President Biden will make good on a campaign promise to cancel student debt. New Jersey ranks 6th in the country for student loan debt with 63% of the state’s college graduates holding some type of debt. Rhonda Schaffler speaks with Michele Streeter, Associate Director of the Institute for College Access and Success, about why loan forgiveness is just one way to end the country’s student loan crisis.
