Burundi To Benefit from Morocco’s Agricultural, Economic Expertise

The Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourina received today Burundi’s Foreign Minister Albert Shingiro, who is on a six-day working visit to the North African country. The pair discussed means to develop bilateral cooperation between Morocco and Burundi in different fields, including agriculture and economy.

In a bid to boost bilateral ties, Shingiro called on Morocco to share its experience and technology in the agriculture sector, as well as encouraged Moroccan economic operators to invest in Burundi.

The two ministers signed an agreement on the establishment of a Joint Cooperation Commission, as well as a visa exemption agreement for holders of diplomatic, service, or special passports.

In addition, Shingiro reiterated his country’s support and “attachment” to Morocco’s territorial integrity and sovereignty over the Sahara.
